Ísland

Foldable map of Iceland with a little dictionary (Icelandic-German) in the right bottom corner. The words I chose cover some of my most typical impressions during my stay in Iceland in summer 2014. On the reverse side there are illustrations to the chosen Icelandic words, spread over the map of the island, which shines through the thin, semi-transparent paper.

The Icelandic landscape is dominated by natural forces and the rough and strong structures of stones and glacial ice. My hands got also rough, therefore I used the prints of the rough skin of my hands for many parts of the pictures.
